Edit Routing - Phone Number (DID)
Follow this guide to edit the routing for an existing telephone number (DID). This is useful for:
Assigning a telephone number to a user.
Assigning a telephone number to a group of users (Call Group).
Assigning a telephone number to a Voice Menu (IVR).
Assigning a telephone number to a Fax Box (IVR).
Routing a call based on the day/time of the week (Time Routing)
Routing a Phone Number (DID)
Navigate to Settings:
Click on Numbers and Click on an existing phone number:
The below options can be edited when modifying the routing for the phone number:
Option | Description | |

1 | Route Type | This is where the phone number should be routed to: User: Routes calls to this phone number to the selected user. Voicemail: Routes calls to this phone number to a Voicemail box of a specific user. Call Group: Routes calls to this phone number to a Call Group (TO DO LINK) Call Parking: Routes calls to this phone number to a Call Park (TO DO LINK) Fax Box: Route this telephone number to a specific User’s Fax Box. |
2 | Route Name | Depending on the selection made in Route Type above, you will have to select the route name you would like the call routed to. Example: If you selected User, you will be presented with a list of users for selection. |
3 | Description | Give this routing a custom description. (optional) |
Click SAVE to update the routing for the phone number. The routing will be updated in the list.
