How to Flush your Network DNS (Windows)

We often update our DNS which may result in connectivity issues to our services. To confirm that the issue is not related to a DNS cache, please follow the steps below:

  1. Firstly open Windows Command Prompt - Click Start, Search “cmd” and press Enter.

  2. In the open prompt, type “ipconfig /flushdns” (without the quotes).

  3. A message should be displayed confirming the success when the cache is cleared.

Flushing the cache removes all the information stored in the cache, forcing the computer to find new DNS information.

If you have any problems clearing your cache, please feel free to log a support request here.
