Change your DNS Settings

  1. When on desktop screen click on start.

  2. In the menu that pops up look for control panel and click once on it.

  3. When the control panel opens look for network connections and double click on it.

  4. In the next window that opens look for local area connection (Lan Cable). If you are using a wireless connection then look for wireless network connection.

  5. Right click on the connection that you are using.

  6. In the pop up block click on properties.

  7. In the window that opens up look in the block just below (This connection uses the following items) for Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and double click on the name.

  8. In the next window that opens you should see to the bottom 2 options:

    • Obtain DNS server address automatically

    • Use the following DNS server addresses

  9. Select Use the following DNS server addresses

  10. Then enter in the following numbers:

    • Preferred DNS server: 169.1.1.1

    • Alternate DNS server: 169.1.1.2

  11. Once done click on OK and then on OK again.

  12. Then you should be on control panel, close it.
